TJP6 Tiffany 9-11, bred by John W Pearson of Portland IN, was a sleeper gilt at the 2006 Indiana State Fair. It is hard for me to believe that this gilt's credentials could ever be overlooked but the competition on show day put her behind the Champion and Reserve Champion in the tough class of gilts. Sired by Bad Bubba and out of 5 Tiffany 1-12, littermate gilt to Triple Threat. 5 Tiffany 1-12 is also littermate to the Mills sow who was the dam of 2006 NBS Hog College Gilt. And we all know about Bad Bubba's record of siring powerful herd boars.
But Tiffany 9-11 is more than a pedigree. From a litter of 12, this prolific gilt is one of the stoutest boned broody Poland gilts to have been out the summer of 2006. As we searched for a breeding prospect that could raise a stout breed-changing sire, Tiffany 9-11 came to the surface immediately.
